Hoima, Uganda | The Black Examiner – A young couple in Kyeramya village, nestled within the picturesque Kiganja sub-county of Hoima district, has found themselves in a poignant predicament after being blessed with an unexpected bundle of joy – triplet babies. While the arrival of the triplets has filled their hearts with happiness, it has also brought along an overwhelming financial burden, prompting the couple to reach out to the community for assistance.

The mother of the triplets is grappling with the challenges of providing for her newborns, as she struggles to afford even a basic meal that is vital for her ability to breastfeed. The babies are reportedly in good health, but their mother’s own well-being is at risk due to her precarious situation.

Adding to their plight, the father, who earns his livelihood as a fisherman, was hit hard by misfortune when his fishing nets were seized by security personnel overseeing Lake Albert. This unfortunate incident has left him without a steady source of income, leaving the young family in dire straits.

Everce Kyalisiima, the empathetic Hoima District female councillor representing Kiganja sub-county and Kigorobya town council, shed light on the couple’s ordeal. She expressed her concern for the family’s well-being, emphasizing the urgent need for external support in order to ensure a stable and nurturing environment for the newborns.

As the young couple’s story gains attention, they are turning to a wide array of potential supporters for help. Their plea extends to government authorities, caregivers, non-governmental organizations, and compassionate individuals who are willing to lend a helping hand. The family’s hope lies in the kindness of well-wishers who can alleviate their financial strain and allow them to focus on raising their children without undue worry.
