Kasese, Uganda | The Black Examiner – Mr. Stephen Muthakengwa, a vigilant resident of Nyakabingo Sub-County in Kasese District, has voiced his apprehensions regarding the inadequate healthcare services provided at Nyakabingo Health Centre II.
In an interview with The Black Examiner yesterday evening, Mr. Muthakengwa expressed his worries about the deteriorating state of the health center, which serves the entire sub-county as well as a parish within Mahango sub-county.
He appealed to the local government of Kasese District to initiate the rehabilitation of the facility and to promptly establish a temporary maternity ward, aimed at catering to the needs of expectant mothers.
Muthakengwa emphasized that access to high-quality maternity care not only constitutes a fundamental human right but is also a pivotal aspect of ensuring gender parity and preserving the dignity of women.
Furthermore, he advocated for regular maintenance of the Golf-Nyakabingo-Mahango road network, in order to alleviate transportation challenges prevalent in the area.
