68  People Murdered in Lango in Four Months

At least 68 people were murdered in Lango subregion in the last four months.

In a press conference held yesterday at the North Kioga Regional Headquarters, Lira city East Division, the police spokesperson North Kyoga Region, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema said out of these murders, 15 were committed in May, 24 in June, 17 in July, and 23 in August 2023.

Okema said most of the murders were as a result of mob justice against criminal suspects.

He cautioned the public against taking the law into their own hands but to allow justice to prevail so as to save lives.
