Masindi District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Leaders in Masindi district have agreed to allocate Kihonda land for the establishment of Greater Masindi Campus for Bunyoro University.

Speaking to Spice FM, the state minister for public service, Grace Mary Mugasa says the decision was reached recently during the reconciliation meeting held at Kolping Hotel in Masindi town.

Leaders in the district have been up in arms over the allocation of land for the establishment of Bunyoro Public University between Kayanja and Kihonda.

Mugasa says since Kayanja land was leased to an investor, leaders have agreed to offer Kihonda land for the establishment of the university.

She also noted that they will write to the ministry of education and sports and copy to the ministry of lands for Kayanja land to be given back to the people of Masindi, and the investor be given another piece of land.
