School Heads Urged to Exhibit Transparency

Hoima District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | School heads in Bunyoro have been tasked to effectively exhibit transparency and provide accountability for the effective utilization of funds received from government to run school activities.

Government through capitation grants and parents through school fees payments and contributions have raised funds for different learning institutions however there are several complaints of under performance and limited growth of schools especially the government aided.

Now, during a stakeholder’s engagement organized by Hoima Catholic diocese department of education held on Thursday at St Nicholas hall Bujumbura parish, Hoima West Division, Fr. Patrick Mugisa the secretary for education in the diocese says school heads need to provide transparency and accountability of the funds received to run the schools.

Fr. Mugisa says parents and other stakeholders expect visible results and accountability in regard to the use of funds in line of academic performance, construction and maintenance of school structures, general growth of the institutions among others.
