Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Soroti Chief Magistrate, Margaret Aanyu, passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 15, at Kampala Hospital, where she was taken after collapsing at her residence. Sheila Wamboga, the Judiciary Communication Specialist, confirmed her demise, attributing it to a brief illness.
“Yes, she has indeed passed away, and we will release a comprehensive statement shortly,” Wamboga stated.
A close family member and friend corroborated this account, explaining that she had collapsed at home, with suspicions of possible intracranial bleeding.
“She was rushed to the hospital, but her life slipped away as preparations were being made to transfer her to Agha Khan Hospital,” the friend recounted.
