Shakib Cham has expressed his enduring desire to marry socialite Zari Hassan. He had admired her from afar during his stay in Uganda while she resided in South Africa. Zari would annually visit Uganda to host her extravagant end-of-year parties, which Shakib attended, hoping to catch a glimpse of her.
After relocating to South Africa five years ago, Shakib coincidentally found himself following Zari and her son as they drove to a shopping mall. Zari, visibly concerned due to the car that had followed them, approached her. Shakib, introducing himself as a fellow Ugandan, explained that he had only followed her to say hello. However, Zari paid little attention, and they went their separate ways.
Shakib later encountered Zari again and openly shared his feelings with her, briefly establishing a connection. Eventually, they went their separate ways. Upon Shakib’s return to Uganda, the two reconnected in the country and began a romantic relationship that continues to this day.
The couple officially tied the knot in a colorful wedding ceremony held in South Africa.
