Nearly 300 Graduates from Rugarama School of Nursing and Midwifery

Kabale District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, Minister for ICT & National Guidance and Member of Parliament for Kikiiki West, delivered this statement during his role as the chief guest at the Rugarama School of Nursing and Midwifery’s graduation ceremony, where 287 graduates received certificates in Nursing and Midwifery. The graduation event occurred on November 3, 2023, at St. Peter’s Cathedral grounds in Rugarama.

Dr. Chris B stressed the significance of healthcare professionals offering top-quality care to patients while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. He highlighted that healthcare practitioners find motivation in applying their knowledge and skills to restore individuals’ health.

During the same event, Rt. Rev. Gaddi Akanjuna, the Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, urged the graduates to prioritize professional ethics in their work. He emphasized the importance of ethics as a fundamental aspect of their professional interactions, particularly in their roles as nurses and midwives. He encouraged them to attentively listen to individuals seeking medical assistance.

Rugarama School of Nursing and Midwifery, established by the Diocese of Kigezi in November 2013, operates under the auspices of the Ugandan government through the Ministry of Education and Sports (BTVET Department) and the Ministry of Health (Uganda Nurse and Midwives Council- UNMC).
