Motorcare Uganda Limited, a prominent player in Uganda’s automotive industry, has unveiled the latest iteration of the Ford Ranger, featuring advanced safety and technology enhancements.

Florence Makada, the Managing Director of Motorcare Uganda, expressed excitement about the addition of Ford to their brand portfolio, highlighting the expanded choices available to customers. The new Ford showroom at Kitgum House is dedicated to showcasing the brand’s offerings.

Customer feedback played a crucial role in shaping the rugged design of the next-generation Ranger. Ford conducted extensive global research, including over 5,000 interviews and numerous customer workshops, to understand user preferences and expectations.

Yassine Ibn Seddik, the Northern and Sub Saharan Africa General Field Manager for Ford Motor Company, described the next-generation Ranger as visually bold and confident, featuring a purposeful exterior design aligned with Ford’s global truck design DNA. The vehicle boasts a distinctive grille, signature C-clamp headlight treatment, and bolder wheel arches for a confident stance.

For the first time, the Ford Ranger introduces matrix LED headlights, enhancing visibility. The taillights at the rear are designed to complement the signature graphics on the front.

Uganda’s automotive industry is experiencing steady growth, driven by demand from new and existing customers. According to Musani, Motorcare sees an opportunity to innovate and design cars that offer both convenience and the ability to navigate challenging terrains, contributing to progress in individuals’ pursuits.

Franco Moras, Vehicle Safety Manager at Ford Australia, highlighted the extensive efforts invested in developing and testing the next-gen Ranger’s safety features. The safety testing program, one of the most comprehensive outside Europe and the US, aims to ensure the robustness of Ranger’s safety features, aligning with the “built Ford tough” heritage.

The next-generation Ranger not only promises the capability to tackle various tasks at work or with family and friends but also incorporates new driver assistance technologies for enhanced safety and peace of mind during travel.
