The 21st Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, began his second-day visit to Uganda by arriving at Entebbe airport on Sunday evening. Accompanied by a distinguished entourage, he received a warm welcome from the Mayor of Entebbe municipality, Fabrice Rulinda. Rulinda emphasized the importance of Atuwatse III’s visit, highlighting the agenda to explore potential collaborations in youth training and capacity building for Uganda’s oil and gas industry.

“We look forward to engaging in fruitful discussions to identify areas of cooperation, exchange ideas, and explore potential partnerships in value-added agriculture,” stated Rulinda.

The mayor also disclosed that the royal delegate is scheduled to meet high-level delegates from both the government and private sector during the visit, focusing on discussions about skilling the youth, oil and gas, and agriculture.

“The Olu of Warri will be meeting with officials to discuss opportunities in skilling the youth, oil and gas, and agriculture,” Rulinda explained.

This visit, aimed at strengthening ties between Nigeria and Uganda, signifies a significant step towards international collaboration in various sectors. Atuwatse III, known for his dedication to youth empowerment and community development, aims to extend this commitment to the Ugandan context.

Throughout the discussions, the Olu of Warri is expected to share insights and experiences from the Kingdom of Warri in the Delta State.
