Sarah’s demise occurred at Medpal Hospital in Kampala on Monday afternoon, as revealed by a source close to the family.
The Prime Minister, Robinah Nabbanja, officially confirmed Mrs. Sarah Ali’s death in a statement dated January 8, 2024. Prime Minister Nabbanja expressed condolences to Moses Ali, acknowledging the loss of his wife.
“It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of Mrs. Sarah Ali, the wife of Rt. Hon Gen (retired) Moses Ali, the second deputy prime minister and deputy leader of government business in parliament,” stated the prime minister.
The Prime Minister also announced a vigil for the departed on the same Monday night at Naalya estate, along Paul Kasule road.
The funeral arrangements include transporting the body to Adjumani for burial on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, with the final resting place scheduled for later in the afternoon.
As of press time, the cause of Mrs. Sarah Ali’s death remains unknown.
