Simultaneously, Ugandan Minister of Finance, Matia Kasaija, engaged in discussions with QC First Vice-Chairman during the forum, addressing the reinforcement of cooperation between Qatar’s private sector and its Ugandan counterpart. The talks also delved into the various investment opportunities present in Uganda across pivotal sectors.

The forum, occurring alongside the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit and the G77 + China Summit, operated under the theme ‘Deeper Cooperation in Trade, Tourism, and Investment for Shared Global Affluence.’ The ‘East Africa Investment Forum and Trade Exhibition’ aimed to create prospects in trade, tourism, investment, and technology transfer, with a focus on promoting opportunities in sectors such as tourism, agri-value addition, mineral beneficiation, oil and gas, ICT, infrastructure development, real estate, and services.
