Kitara FC Triumphs Over Pajule in Uganda Cup

Sitting comfortably atop the Uganda Premier League standings, Kitara FC today (Saturday) April 27, 2024, entered the semi-final with confidence and eagerly exerted their dominance against Pajule Lions, a team competing in the regional league.

The Royals beat Pajule Lions to secure first leg win of the Stanbic Uganda Cup this evening by winning 3-1 against the visitors hosted at Masindi municipal stadium.

Today’s win has marked Kitara’s good performance in this tournament since it has not lost any match since the last 16 level.

The Hoima-based Royals now have a bigger chance to reach the finals after beating Pajule in the first leg just waiting for a trip to Padel district for a return leg.

Goals from Denis Omedi, Frank Tumwesigye (Zaga) and Solomon Okwalinga were enough to help Kitara reach this level for the first time in the club’s history.

Kitara will next take on Mbarara City FC on May 1, 2024, in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) as they will be looking to bolster their chances of winning their league also for the first time in their history.
