In the other semifinal, Madagascar staged a remarkable comeback against Burkina Faso. Despite Burkina Faso leading 19-5 at halftime, Madagascar mounted a spirited second-half performance, equalizing 19-19 by full time. In extra time, Madagascar clinched victory with a decisive try, setting up a final showdown against Uganda.
