Post Bank Uganda has unveiled the ZeroFlex digital account, revolutionizing how customers access financial services. With ZeroFlex, users can self-register online, eliminating the need to visit a bank branch.

The ZeroFlex account empowers both new and existing customers to open an account by providing necessary information and uploading a valid national ID or passport. This streamlined process assigns an account within just five minutes.

Ibrahim Kato, Chief Retail Officer at Post Bank Uganda, emphasized the bank’s commitment to financial inclusion, stating, “Introducing the ZeroFlex Account aligns with our mission to foster prosperity for Ugandans. This product is designed to drive financial inclusion, in line with the Bank of Uganda’s strategy, by providing access to affordable financial services.”

Key benefits of the ZeroFlex account include no maintenance fees, free monthly statements, and no balance inquiry fees. Additionally, the account offers seamless integration with mobile wallets and 24/7 access.

Kato highlighted the potential of digital banking, referencing the 2023 Bank of Uganda report that showed mobile money transactions increased from 156 trillion to 191 trillion. “The banking sector can leverage digital services like ZeroFlex to enhance financial inclusion and contribute to Uganda’s socio-economic development,” Kato said.

Post Bank continues to innovate to meet the evolving needs of Ugandans, extending financial services to the unbanked. The ZeroFlex account is accessible to all, even non-account holders, through the PostApp on Google Play and the App Store or via the Post Bank Uganda website.
