NTUNGAMO- In a devastating turn of events, Apollo Nyegamahe aka Aponye a well-known Ugandan billionaire and prominent figure in the business community, has passed away in a fatal car accident. The incident took place on Thursday evening at approximately 8 pm in Itojo, Ntungamo, along the Kampala – Kabale Highway.
The crash was of such severity that Aponye’s vehicle was completely destroyed, rendering it unrecognizable. Local authorities in Ntungamo are actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the accident and shed light on the circumstances surrounding it.
Apollo Nyegamahe, also known as Aponye, held the position of NRM Chairperson for Rukiga District in southwestern Uganda at the time of his untimely demise. He was a highly successful entrepreneur, with a notable presence in the business landscape through his company, Aponye Ltd Empire. His business ventures spanned various sectors, with a particular focus on the grain industry. Aponye Ltd held a prominent position as Uganda’s leading grain business, excelling in grain milling, manufacturing, and supplies.
The entire community has been deeply shaken by this tragic incident. The authorities are conducting thorough investigations to establish the cause of the accident and provide answers to the grieving family and the public.
