After getting divorced, the husband sets fire to the family home

Husband burns wife’s family house after divorcing him

A 47-year-old is said to have been arrested on allegations of torching a house after his wife he recently separated from, reportedly refused to return to him in Kyanika village in Maliba subcounty in Kasese district.

No official comment yet from Police but the Kasese district councilor representing Maliba subcounty, Hon. Rebson Magoma confirmed and identified the suspect as one Mr. Samuel Baluku Kabutu, a resident of Kyanika village.

According to Hon. Magoma, the suspect seems to have been offended after his wife refused to return to his side, forcing him to burn his wife’s family commercial house at Kyanika trading center.

He said the separation was forced by allegations of unfaithfulness peddled by the suspect against his wife.

Mr. Samuel, the suspect kept talking as if he was ignorant about the reason for his arrest.
