Bodaboda rider kills wife, dumps body in Rubbish pit

Police in Mukono district have arrested a Bodaboda rider for allegedly murdering wife and dumping the body into a rubbish pit.

The deceased has been Identified as Dilisa a resident of Luwunga village, in Mukono district.

The deceased has been identified as Mama Alama.

Speaking to Spark TV, the residents said the woman had not been seen around for a while.

“She went missing on Sunday. The husband has been deceiving the Villagers that they divorced and the woman went back to her parental home. Unfortunately, someone informed us that the man had killed the wife and dumped the body in a rubbish pit,” Rose Namukasa, one of the neighbors said.

The suspect however took the children to the brother of the deceased telling him to take care of them he’s going to look for the wife since he doesn’t know where she went.

Surprisingly, Dilisa on Tuesday went to the Nama police station and reported that the wife was missing varying from what he had told the locals.

“The same day he said the wife had went missing, he slept in the house. There is no way you can say my wife has gone missing and you continue sleeping in the house,” Patrick Mugerwa chair Mukono.

It’s alleged that he reported to the police that he arrived home and found out the wife was missing and had left the children alone.

However the police advised him to take care of the children as he searched for the missing wife.

The heinous act came to light after a child was going to the toilet discovered the body and reported it to the mother.

“The child was going to the toilet before she discovered the body. She went and informed the mother who came and checked and found the body covered with clothes,’ Ben Ochen, neighbor.

According to the neighbors, Dilisa hasn’t been friendly with the neighbors and didn’t want the wife to speak with anyone in the village.

“He’s a person who stays alone and doesn’t talk to anyone. He’s lifestyle was hard to understand,” one of the residents said.

According to the village Chairperson, Patrick Mugerwa, the couple have been having misunderstandings for a while but they don’t report which makes it very difficult for the leaders to enter in such cases.

The residents are now demanding justice since the suspect handed himself to police following the revelation.
