On Monday afternoon, an alleged motorcycle thief was brutally beaten and burnt to ashes by residents of Musaijamukuru cell.
The deceased, identified only as Tom, was a Kisiiha village resident in Kakooge parish of Buhimba Sub-county, Kikuube District. Preliminary reports suggest that Tom had stolen a Bajaj motorcycle in Katikara town council of Kakumiro district and was en route to Buhimba town council when fellow Boda bodas in Buhimba Sub-county intercepted him in Musaijamukuru trading center on the Buhimba-Kakumiro Road.
After discovering the stolen motorcycle in his possession, the residents proceeded to strike him with stones and burn him to ashes. Tom was known as a notorious thief in the Sub-county who terrorized several residents until his ultimate demise.
