Manhunt in Kabale: Suspect Sought for Brother’s Spade Killing

Kabale authorities are on the lookout for a 25-year-old named Medard Tumuheki, suspected of killing his 29-year-old biological brother, Alexander Arimpisya. The incident reportedly occurred on 31/03/2024 around 08:00 hours in upper Bugongi cell, Northern Division, Kabale Municipality. Allegedly, Tumuheki struck Arimpisya with a spade, resulting in immediate death.

According to reports, Arimpisya had prior disputes with his mother. On the day of the incident, he allegedly attempted to harm his mother with a spade, prompting Tumuheki to intervene. Tumuheki allegedly wrestled the spade away from Arimpisya and fatally struck him with it.

Upon receiving the information, Richard Mugabi, the area vice chairperson, alerted Kabale police, who promptly responded to the scene. The police conducted a thorough investigation, gathering statements and documenting the crime scene. Arimpisya’s body was transported to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem examination.

Tumuheki is currently evading authorities, but efforts are underway to locate and apprehend him.
