Security Personnel Apprehended for Stealing Shs. 200 Million from Hardware Shop

Two security guards in Masindi district have been arrested for allegedly stealing 200 million shillings from Bakerm Enterprise Hardware Shop Masindi.

The guards, identified as Isa Ochaya and Prosper Ocungirwoth are currently being held by the police for questioning. The incident was reported by the administrator of Bakerm Enterprise Hardware Shop, Mr. Isaac Wamani. The police swiftly arrived at the scene and arrested the two guards who were accused of breaking into the shop.

Julius Allan Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, confirmed the arrest and disclosed that the two will be charged with house theft. Following the incident, Hakiza advised the business community to avoid keeping large sums of money in their business premises or houses and store their money in banks for safety reasons.
