Makindye: Woman Killed in Infidelity Scuffle

Police in Katwe are investigating a murder suspected to have emanated from infidelity scuffle. The case happened at Luwafu village, Kizungu, in Makindye Division.

Patrick Onyango the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson has identified the deceased as Amina Nansimbe.

Police have established that Patrick Luutu 35, has been to Nansimbe both residents of Luwafu village, Kizungu zone, Makindye division of Kampala City.

Nansimbe who now deceased yesterday at 1 pm received her brother as a visitor. However, when Luutu came, he suspected him to be an extra lover to Nansimbe.

This resulted into a misunderstandings between the two erupted. The deceased notified a neighbour, Catherine Nantume Catherine about the scuffle between Luutu and her brother.

“Nansimbe went back into the house then Luutu locked the door and a fight erupted.
Luutu used a metal in the room to stab her in the neck, left jaw and chest. By the time the neighbour one Kambugu broke into the house for rescue, Nansimbe was already dead in a pool of blood,” Onyango said.

Police said Luutu was lying next to the body of Nansimbe very unconscious and bleeding from the neck.

Kambugu notified the defense of the area who called Police. A team of police officers visited the crime scene. Luutu was rushed to Mulago hospital for medical attention and the body of Nansimbe has been conveyed to City mortuary-Mulago for post morten.

“We appeal to members of the public to resolve their issues amicably and not to resort to violence,” Onyango said.
