Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | A male individual slated to travel to Mbarara District on Thursday, October 19, collapsed and passed away at Kisenyi Bus Terminal in Kampala District’s Central Division.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, the deceased was identified as Dickson Namanya, who had been feeling unwell before his sudden death.
The incident took place around 2:00 PM, as reported by Javira Kiwana, an attendant at the terminal. Namanya, visibly unwell, had stopped at the terminal’s facilities but passed away just outside the restroom before entering.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Namanya was indeed a passenger, having obtained a ticket for the Swift Bus service to Mbarara.
The deceased body has been transported to Mulago Hospital for further examination and an autopsy as investigations are curried on to ascertain the cause of this unexpected tragedy.
