20 Eritreans Intercepted in Uganda

At least 20 Eritrean female nationals have been intercepted by Police being driven from Mbale to Kampala after being trafficked into Uganda over the weekend.

According to the police, the victims of human trafficking were transported through Ethiopia via Kenya up to Malaba border and later to Mbale enrooting to Kampala.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says among the victims, the youngest is 12 years old while the eldest is 28years old.

He says that they have so far arrested three people including the blocker Samuel Etyang, and van drivers Muwada Kizza and Brian Nkuusi for allegedly involving into trafficking these Ethiopians.

Enanga says that the investigations on how these ladies were trafficked from Ethiopia and entered Uganda.
