21-Year Old Man Killed by Mob in Bushenyi

Bushenyi District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Bushenyi are investigating circumstances under which a 21 year old man was beaten to death by the mob.

Marcial Tumusiime, the greater police spokesperson identified the deceased as Justus Asingwire, 21, a peasant and a resident of Kibare village, Kibare Ward Nyakabirizi Division, Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality, Bushenyi district.

It is alleged that the deceased commonly known as Richard went to a bar of Oliver Natumanya with a friend and started knocking on the door and the owner made an alarm thinking they were thugs.

This forced the residents to come out and run after them, and they arrested Asingwire but the colleague ran away. The community ganged on him and beat him seriously to coma suspecting that he was a thief. He died as he was being rushed to hospital.

Tumusiime said the bar owner was arrested to help in inquiries and the body was taken to Kampala International University Teaching Hospital for postmortem.
