33year Old Man Killed By Rolling Lorry In Mitooma District

MITOOMA DISTRICT | THE BLACK EXAMINER – In a lamentable incident along Mitooma-Ishaka road in Katenga village, Mitooma District, a 33-year-old man tragically lost his life after being crushed by a white Tata lorry with registration number UBE 759U. The Mitooma District Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate occurrence.

The victim, identified as Regan Tumusiime, hailed from Hoima District. According to Marcial Tumusiime, the spokesperson for Greater Bushenyi Police, the incident occurred as the deceased was reportedly taking respite beneath the parked motor vehicle. To everyone’s shock, the lorry began to move without a driver, leading to the rear tire rolling over Mr. Tumusiime and causing severe injuries.

Promptly following the incident, Mr. Tumusiime was swiftly rushed to Kitagata Hospital in Sheema District for medical attention. Despite the medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and tragically passed away.

The investigation into this heartrending incident continues as authorities seek to determine the factors that contributed to the lorry’s unexpected self-motion and the subsequent loss of life.
