In a serious incident that occurred yesterday on the Ishaka-Kagamba road, one person has been tragically confirmed dead. The deceased has been identified as Christopher Baryamishaba, a 36-year-old from Ibare Sub County, who was riding a motorcycle with registration number UEU671X. The fatal collision involved a Primeo vehicle with registration number UAS802L.
Martial Tumusiime, the Greater Bushenyi regional police spokesperson, disclosed the victim’s identity and provided details of the incident. According to police reports, the accident was caused by the careless driving of the Primeo car’s driver, who veered to the right and collided with the oncoming motorcycle.
After the collision, the motorcycle rider was promptly rushed to KIU Ishaka, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. The involved vehicles, the Primeo car, and the motorcycle, are currently at the Kashenyi police posts while authorities initiate inquiries into the circumstances leading to the accident.
