ASSHU Chair Urges PDM Beneficiaries to Invest in Education

Joseph Nzukwa, Chair of the Association of Secondary School Headteachers in Uganda (ASSHU) for the Rwenzori Region, has advised recipients of Parish Development Model (PDM) funds to allocate a portion of their profits towards their children’s education. Nzukwa stressed the importance of educating children, emphasizing that they are the future leaders and a community’s treasure.

He shared these insights while announcing the joint mock examination results for the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education. The event took place at St. Theresa Girls Secondary School in Nsenyi, Kisinga Town Council, Kasese District.


Nzukwa also encouraged parents to allow their children to participate in co-curricular activities for talent identification and development.

Sr. Florence Mary Kemijumbi, the Headmistress of St. Theresa Girls Secondary School-Nsenyi, emphasized the need for a holistic teaching approach for students.

In the academic rankings, Bwera Secondary School secured the top position, followed closely by Hillside Kyanduli Secondary School.
