Kanungu District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Airtel Uganda, in collaboration with Huawei Technologies Uganda, has expanded internet access opportunities in Kanungu District. They provided 200 smartphones to teachers, health workers, social workers, and local leaders in an effort to enhance their community impact through connectivity.

Dennis Kakonge, Airtel Uganda’s Legal and Regulatory Director, emphasized the importance of information access and communication in today’s world. The smartphones distributed to these community members come with 5GB of data per month for three months, enabling better access to resources for educators, improved healthcare services, and more efficient coordination of community projects by local leaders.

Kakonge encouraged the beneficiaries to use these devices responsibly to drive positive change in their lives and communities, marking a significant step toward Airtel’s mission of connecting communities, improving education, and enhancing social service delivery.
