Authorities have initiated a comprehensive inquiry into the unexpected demise of a Brazilian national in Kampala.
The deceased has been identified as Douglas Junior Martins, a resident of Kagugube village in Kawempe, Kampala. Reports indicate that he collapsed and passed away while at a local clinic.
According to the police, Douglas was known as a pastor in the area. During their investigation, they discovered a syrup bottle and a Brazilian passport bearing the number FU337925 in his possession.
“We are currently unsure whether the syrup bottle played a role in his death or if he was using it to treat an illness,” stated the police.
A thorough search of the deceased’s residence led to the recovery of various drugs, a laptop, a Bible, mobile phones, and other personal documents.
“We have notified the Brazilian embassy, and investigations are already underway,” the police reported.
