Buganda Celebrates Kabaka’s 30th Coronation Anniversary

As the clock ticks towards the official commencement of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s 30th coronation anniversary, excitement fills the air at Lubiri Mengo, where the celebrations will be held.

Already, numerous guests have gathered, eagerly awaiting the pinnacle of the event, while dancers have been enlivening the atmosphere since yesterday evening.

People from various tribes and borders have come together to honor the Kabaka, singing praises of his remarkable achievements. Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda, applauds Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II for his tireless efforts in improving healthcare, alleviating poverty, and fostering unity.

Charles Peter Mayiga expresses gratitude to the people of Buganda for following the Kabaka’s lead and celebrates his 30 years of exemplary leadership.

The Tooro Kingdom also extends its well-wishes to the Kabaka, citing the strong bond between the two kingdoms.

Throughout his reign, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II has made significant contributions, such as supporting children’s education through sponsorships, promoting agriculture, and overseeing the documentation of Buganda’s land.

As the longest-serving King of Buganda since the kingdom’s founding in the 11th century, his enthronement on July 31, 1993, at Naggalabi-Buddo marked the restoration of traditional monarchies in Uganda.

With the grand celebrations about to unfold, the nation comes together to honor and cherish the enduring legacy of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
