Bunyoro-Kitara University Organizers Hold Meeting to Propel University Establishment in the Region
Yesterday, the organizers of Bunyoro-Kitara University, led by Kalimagezi Samuel Kyamanywa, convened a crucial gathering with the residents of bigger Kibaale, encompassing Kakumiro, Kagadi, and Kibaale. The primary aim of this meeting was to rally support and promote the establishment of a university in the Bunyoro region.
During the meeting, officials asserted that the initial stages of development would commence at the CCCC Camp site office in Kibaale district. This decision was justified by the site’s possession of permanent buildings and the absence of any incumbency on the land.
Furthermore, the attendees reached an important consensus that Kibaale would serve as the headquarters for the prestigious College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences within the university.
The event attracted distinguished figures from the community, including Noeline Kisembo Basemera, Women’s Coordinator, Angalia K Godwin – RDC, Bigger Kibaale District Councilors, religious leaders, and cultural leaders.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in Bunyoro-Kitara University’s journey towards establishment, and the support shown by the community leaders and residents bodes well for the future of higher education in the region.
