Kwania District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Kwania district leaders have accused GULSAN Construction Company Limited that is constructing Apac-Kwania-Kole-Lira to Puranga road of dismissing and sidelining youth from the district in employment.
Administrator of GULSAN Construction Company Limited identified as Nuri met Kwania district Kwania North MP, Bob Okai and the district chairman Geoffrey Alex Ogwal Adyebo on 12/10/2023 at the company offices in Akalo.
Nuri said them dismissing youth from Kwania is meant to reduce on the number of workers from Kwania since they have very little work remaining to be done in Kwania section.
Kwania County MP, Bob Okae said they met officials of Gulsan Construction Company Limited after some youth who served as casual laborers accused them of irregular dismissal.
Job Engena who is leading a group of 52 youths from Kwania who lost their jobs with GULSAN Construction Company Limited said they are working with Makmot Kibwanga of Makmot Kibwanga and company advocates to drag to court the company if the company fails to reinstate them within 14 days.
Kwania District chairman Geoffrey Alex Ogwal Adyebo wondered why GULSAN Construction Company Limited has moved to reduce the number of their workers from Kwania since it was not part of their agreement at the beginning of the project.
