Hoima District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Justice Byabakama Mugyenyi Simon, issued a stern warning to voters regarding unlawful conduct during the Hoima District LC 5 by-election. He emphasized that anyone found engaging in illegal activities during this election would face appropriate consequences.
Justice Byabakama Mugyenyi delivered this message during a media briefing and engagement with stakeholders ahead of the scheduled by-election in Hoima District, set to take place tomorrow.
He reassured that comprehensive preparations for a fair and transparent election had been completed. This included activities such as updating and displaying the voters’ register, conducting nominations, and enabling candidate campaigns. Voting would be conducted at all 173 polling stations throughout the district.
To address any concerns raised by candidates or their representatives, a voter complaints desk and media relations center have been established at Dwoli Primary School playground in Kitoba Subcounty.
