Elderly Couple Brutally Murdered by Casual Worker in Kyenjojo

Kyenjojo District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kyenjojo are currently investigating the murder of an elderly couple in Katooke Subcounty of Kyenjojo District. The police have identified the deceased as Kiiza Ivan (77 years old) and his wife Eva Kiiza (70 years old), who fell victim to a horrifying murder perpetrated by their casual worker.

This tragic event unfolded early in the morning, at approximately 08:00 hours when the lifeless bodies of the elderly couple were discovered at their residence in Kiguuza village, Rwamukoora Parish, Katooke Sub County, Kyenjojo District.

The casual worker responsible for this heinous act goes by the name Friday, also known as Munyarwanda, a Rwandese national. It is suspected that the motive behind this gruesome murder may have been the theft of money and other valuable possessions, as the late Kiiza Ivan was a retired Veterinary Officer and a respected elder within the village community.

The incident was promptly reported to the Kyenjojo Central Police Station, and a team from the scene of the crime visited the location. Subsequently, the bodies of the deceased were retrieved and transported to Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital for a postmortem examination.

Currently, the perpetrator, Friday Munyarwanda, remains at large while investigations into this tragic incident continue.
