Luwero, Uganda | The Black Examiner – Police in the Savannah region are currently investigating the tragic death of Yudah Kyayagade, a 47-year-old individual who reportedly lost his life due to an attack by his employees over a withheld salary payment.

The incident, as reported by law enforcement officials, took place on a farm located in Namakofu village, within the Bububi parish of Zirobwe sub-county, situated in the Luwero district.

According to Sam Twiineamazima, the spokesperson for the Police in the Savannah region, the territorial Police in Luwero district have taken active steps to probe the murder, which occurred on a Wednesday morning, around 11:30 am.

Twiineamazima’s statement revealed preliminary findings suggesting that Kyayagade, a resident of Zirobwe town council in Luwero district, fell victim to a violent attack by his own workers.

In response to a report from area councillor Kenneth Kamutsya, the Police promptly engaged with the situation. A murder case was officially registered, and a Scene of Crime Officer visited and documented the scene of the incident.

During their investigation, the Police recovered several items, including pangas believed to have been used in the crime. Additionally, a sketch map of the area was created to aid in the ongoing inquiry.

As part of the investigation, the victim’s body was transported to the City mortuary in Mulago, located in Kampala, for a postmortem examination. Although no arrests have been made thus far, a pursuit of the assailants has been initiated, as confirmed by Twiineamazima.

Further investigations into this tragic matter are still ongoing.
