Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) is calling for a balanced approach between technology and human labor in service delivery. FUE made this appeal through stakeholders, including the International Labor Organisation in Uganda (ILO) and Enable, during the launch of the Employer of the Year Awards 2023 in Kasuperfit galaxy amazon bodenfliesen bunt casio model calculator rosenthal landscape ισοθερμικο μπλουζακι stok horny toad clothing blow up two person kayak erlich bademode bolsos vuitton bauchtasche eastpak adidas compensée ab1553 adidas zwei bauchtaschen Switzerland rosenthal landscape blow up two person kayakmpala.

Lucie Carlier, Project Manager at Enable, highlighted that these awards recognize and celebrate excellence in human resources and financial aid organizations. It’s not just an accolade but a testament to the commitment and innovation demonstrated by employers, particularly those who prioritize decent work and social potential. Enable believes that promoting Decent Work and Social Protection is crucial for sustainable economic growth and the well-being of individuals and communities.

Lucie emphasized that workplaces should prioritize fairness, inclusivity, and worker rights, as they are spaces where people spend a significant portion of their lives. She praised the initiative to focus on employers in the agricultural and hospitality sectors in the laboratory region, considering their importance for economic development and job creation.

According to Lucie, Enable is committed to supporting initiatives aligned with its mission of promoting sustainable development, and the Employer of the Year awards encourage organizations to continually improve their HR policies and practices.

Stephen Opio, Chief Technical Advisor at ILO, expressed their long-standing support for employers through FUE, emphasizing that technology, including artificial intelligence, should complement human workers in the world of work. He urged the government and employers to find a balance between technology and human labor.

Opio also highlighted the issue of youth unemployment in Uganda and the need for education and training opportunities. He mentioned that FUE has introduced a category recognizing employers who hire refugees, in line with Uganda’s positive policy response to hosting displaced persons.

The Employer of the Year awards program, which has been running for 13 years, identifies the best employers across the country and spans all regions. Brenda Kyasimire Jabel, the technical chairperson of the technical committee for the Employer of the Year awards, noted its success in recognizing outstanding employers in Uganda.
