Former LoP Ogenga Latigo survives a road accident

A former Leader of Opposition in parliament Prof. Morris Ogenga Latigo has been hospitalized after being involved in a road accident in Luweero.

The accident occurred at around mid-night on Saturday at Lubenge Swap in Luweero along the Kampala-Gulu highway.

It involved motor vehicles registration numbers UBJ 070B a Tata lorry belonging to Victoria Sugar Factory and a Mercedes Benz UBG 961D being driven by Prof. Ogeng Latigo who is also a former MP for Agago constituency.

Sam Twiineamazima, the acting Savannah regional police spokesperson has confirmed the development saying the lorry loaded with sugar cane from Masindi to Luweero ran out of fuel and obstructed traffic from Gulu to Kampala and the former legislators vehicle rammed into the stationary truck that left him injured.

Police rushed him to St. Ceaser Lacor hospital for treatment where doctors are managing him well as they hunt for the driver of the stationary truck.
