Entebbe, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | The Nateete territorial police, in conjunction with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services, acted swiftly in response to a fire outbreak on the Masanafu Busega Northern By-pass today, October 18, 2023, at approximately 16:04 hours.

The incident revolved around a fuel tanker with the registration numbers KBL 022A and ZD 3482, under the control of Ismail Umar, a 27-year-old Kenyan national. While the exact cause of the fire remains undetermined, our diligent officers promptly arrived at the scene. The Fire and Rescue Services team successfully contained the fire, with ongoing efforts to fully extinguish it.

We want to reassure by-pass users that one lane is currently open and operational for motorists, ensuring minimal disruption. Authorities are actively investigating the fire’s cause, and we will share our findings in due time.
