Hoima District Activates Voter Registration Drive

HOIMA, UGANDA: An essential democratic process has commenced as voters embark on updating themselves in the Voters Register. This pivotal exercise, set to take place from Monday, July 24 to July 28, 2023, marks a significant step towards ensuring a transparent and inclusive electoral system.

According to Merab Kassande, the esteemed Hoima district election administrator, measures have been put in place to facilitate the registration process effectively. A notable development includes the deployment of two enrollment officers to each of the 55 parishes in the district. This strategic allocation of personnel is expected to streamline the registration process, making it more accessible and efficient for voters throughout the region.

As the deadline for the exercise approaches, citizens in Hoima district  have been encouraged to take an active role in updating their information in the Voters Register. This act of civic participation ensures that the electoral system accurately reflects the will and voices of the people, promoting a robust and vibrant democratic environment.
