Winnie Nwagi, known as Songstress Winfred Nakanwagi, has declared her determination to confront audience members who engage in inappropriate physical contact with her during performances. In a recent interview with a local television station, she issued a stern warning, emphasizing that she will not tolerate anyone touching her body inappropriately while she is on stage.

Expressing her frustration, Nwagi stated that she consistently informs revelers that if they dare touch her thighs, she will respond by slapping them, regardless of the year, be it the current one or 2025. Emphasizing her independence in the industry, she asserted that she entered the music scene without the support of her father or anyone else.

Nwagi called on the audience to normalize showing respect to artists during their performances by refraining from inappropriate physical contact. She underscored the importance of mutual respect in the professional relationship between artists and their audience.

“I’m here to make music, and we should all be respecting each other. I don’t want to work with people who lack common sense. Respect on one side, and foolishness on the other. If you’re foolish, don’t book me. It’s as simple as that!” she remarked.

Known for her confrontational approach, the Swangz Avenue artist has a history of getting into physical altercations with revelers. In a previous incident last year at a local hangout, she physically confronted a reveler whom she accused of touching her thighs. Nwagi vehemently warned against such actions, emphasizing her refusal to tolerate inappropriate behavior.

In a separate incident in 2018, Nwagi seized a fan’s phone and smashed it during a performance in London, accusing the individual of recording her inappropriately. Her actions reflect her commitment to maintaining boundaries and demanding respect for her personal space while on stage.
