KAKUMIRO: 48-Year-Old Man Strangled with a Rope, Son Arrested

Kakumiro District | The Black Examiner – The police in Kakumiro are currently conducting a comprehensive investigation surrounding the murder of Lule George, a 48-year-old resident of Kyarunyonyi LC I in Nalweyo Subcounty, Kakumiro District.


Chairman LC1, Mr. Monday Nicholas, has officially confirmed the distressing incident, shedding light on the details of the crime. He revealed to The Black Examiner that the unfortunate individual met his untimely end in the wee hours of August 17th at 5:46 AM. His life was brutally taken using a rope, and his lifeless body was abandoned near the roadside.

In an exclusive interview with this publication, Chairman Nicholas disclosed that following a postmortem examination, the results shockingly unveiled that the cause of death was strangulation, leading to a swift and tragic end due to asphyxiation. The deceased’s body were released to the grieving family for the necessary burial arrangements. He also informed us that the eldest son of the deceased, Asiimwe Justus, 17, has been taken into police custody as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to, Nyinambyeyi Naume, she anxiously awaited her husband’s return but was left in despair as he never came home. Exhausted from her vigil, she reluctantly retired to bed around 1 AM. “I acknowledge that my husband had his struggles with alcohol, but he never spends nights in a bar,” she added. The following morning, she alerted Chairman Nicholas and Buzukira Steven, a relative about her husband’s absence. Her concerns grew as she discovered the bar from which her husband frequented was closed and unoccupied. Consulting neighbors who were familiar with this drinking spot, they were informed that the bar’s owner never resides there. Their search eventually led them to the grim discovery of his lifeless body lying by the side of the road.
