Kibaale Man Beheads Wife

Kibaale District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kibaale District have arrested a 42-year-old man for allegedly beheading his 37-year-old wife following family misunderstandings.

The suspect identified as January Tumwesigye a resident of Muziizi village in Kyakazihire Sub County, Kibaale district allegedly beheaded his wife Jannet Keneema, a mother of five children with their last born aged eight months, using a sharp panga in the wee hours of Sunday morning.

On interrogation after his arrest, Tumwesigye has confessed to the heinous act arguing that this happened after a quarrel and that he felt evil spirits commanding him to kill the wife

The elder daughter of the couple whose names have been concealed because she is a minor narrates that her parents started quarreling on Sunday night, leading to a fight but their mother escaped to the maize plantation where Tumwesigye followed her up to end her life.

Provia Busingye, the neighbor to the family says that she was called by the suspect (Tumwesigye), only to find him holding the head of the deceased.

Joseph Ayesiga, the Kibaale O/C Station who visited the scene says investigations have kicked off, warning residents against acts of domestic violence but rather seek leaders or authorities’ intervention whenever they get misunderstandings.
