Kisoro District | The Black Examiner – Police in Kisoro are currently pursuing suspects involved in the alleged rape and subsquent murder of Chimanaizanye Tereza, a 60-year-old Mufumbira peasant residing in Rubona Village, Bubuye Parish, Nyundo Sub-County, Kisoro District.
This tragic incident transpired on the night of September 3, 2023, in Rubona Village, Bubuye Parish, Nyundo Sub-County, Kisoro District. Tereza was reportedly last seen alive on the night of September 3, 2023, at a local bar within the same village.
However, her lifeless body was discovered the following morning, September 4, 2023, at the aforementioned location.
Elly Maate, the spokesperson for Kigezi Region Police, revealed that Didas Ndagijimana reported this distressing incident.
Subsequently, a murder case was officially registered, a thorough investigation was initiated, and the crime scene was meticulously examined and documented.
Additionally, a postmortem examination was conducted at the scene, and permission was granted for the deceased to be laid to rest.
Maate emphasized that the victim was subjected to both sexual assault and homicide in this heinous act.He however called upon the general public who might have the cannel knowlege of the suspects to help police to bring them to book.
