Rukungiri | The Black Examiner – This morning on the Rukungiri-Kanungu road, the lorry driver was killed on the spot in a traffic road crash, and two other individuals have sustained injuries as a result of the accident.
The mishap centered around a Fuso truck, its license plate as yet unverified, en route from Rukungiri to Kanungu, laden with a cargo of poultry feeds. The incident occurred within the stretch of road lying between the Kashenyi trading center and Bagahwe trading center, situated in the Bungagari sub-county.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident was precipitated by a mechanical malfunction afflicting the truck, causing its braking system to fail. The resultant loss of control led to the collision.
