Mabirizi to Sue Kyabazinga Over Unlawful Marriage With Jovia Mutesi

Kampala, Uganda | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Controversial city lawyer Male Mabirizi is gearing up to file a court case against the Kyabazinga of Busoga, Williams Nadiope Gabula IV, regarding his alleged illegal marriage to Jovia Mutesi. The royal wedding took place over the weekend in Busoga, with only invited guests in attendance. However, the situation became complicated when another woman, claiming to be the Kyabazinga’s wife residing in the UK for over five years, objected to the marriage.

The woman asserted that she and the Kyabazinga were legally married in the UK, and she had been financially supporting him. Despite her efforts to halt the wedding through legal channels, the kingdom proceeded with the ceremony. Now married to Jovia Mutesi, the Kyabazinga’s alleged former partner is expressing her grievances on social media, demanding a refund of the money she invested in him.

Amidst the ongoing controversy, Lawyer Mabirizi has announced his intention to take legal action against four individuals involved in the wedding. He plans to bring Kyabazinga Nadiope, Jovia Mutesi, Queen Sylvia Najinda of Buganda, and Rev Kazimba Mugalu, who officiated the wedding, to court for what he deems an illegal marriage. Mabirizi contends that despite the Kyabazinga being a married man with children, they proceeded with the wedding. The situation adds another layer of complexity to the already contentious circumstances surrounding the Busoga royal marriage.
