Buhweju District | The Black Examiner  – Police and authorities in Buhweju District are intensively searching for a man who has allegedly murdered his own six-year-old son.

The spokesperson for the greater Bushenyi police division, Macial Tumusiime, has identified the prime suspect as Wilbroad Ayebazibwe, a 34-year-old resident of Kamakanda Village, situated in Katara Parish, within the Karungu sub-county of Buhweju District.

Tumusiime has also officially confirmed the identity of the victim as Linus Akampwera, a male juvenile aged six years, who happens to be the biological child of the aforementioned suspect.

The incident reportedly unfolded due to a series of misunderstandings between Wilbroad Ayebazibwe and his wife, Annet Ainembabazi, a 31-year-old housewife. Annet Ainembabazi was the one who reported this incident to the police. The exact nature of these misunderstandings remains under investigation.

Sources reveal that the mother of the victim had engaged in a heated argument with her husband, the suspect, which ultimately led to the unfortunate incident.

Macial Tumusiime has provided additional details regarding the fatal encounter. It is stated that during the course of their quarrel, the suspect wielded a Panga (a type of machete) with intent to harm his wife. However, his wife managed to evade the attack, resulting in the Panga striking the left side of their child’s neck, causing immediate and fatal injuries.

The police have uncovered that the couple had engaged in a dispute soon after returning home from a local bar, where they had been spending time together prior to the altercation.

As the investigation progresses, Tumusiime has confirmed that the young victim’s body has been transported to Nsiika Health Center IV for a postmortem examination.

The search for the suspect, Wilbroad Ayebazibwe, remains ongoing as law enforcement authorities strive to apprehend him in connection with this terrifying incident.
