Amuria District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | A brutal confrontation revolving around a romantic entanglement has left a 25-year-old man hospitalized with his genitals severed in a shocking incident in Ogongora Village, Amuria District, Uganda. Martin Onyait, the victim, was allegedly attacked by Paul Onyala in a dispute over Angela Apila’s affections. Discovered naked and unconscious in a pool of blood, Onyait was swiftly taken to Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, where seven doctors are now treating severe injuries to his face, neck, and particularly, his genital area.

Local leader Julius Otim, informed by Onyait’s father, Yuventino Opio, described the gravity of the injuries, emphasizing significant bleeding from the genital area. Onyait’s wife, Mary Abuko, unaware of any marital infidelity, claimed her husband had been at home all day and left only in response to a call from his father. Abuko also accused the alleged assailant, Paul Onyala, of absconding with her husband’s belongings and a sum of Shs500,000. Dr. Ben Watmon, the Director of Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, reserved comment until a comprehensive report on Onyait’s health was available.

When questioned, East Kyoga regional police spokesperson John Tukei stated that he had not yet received information on the incident.
