Henry Aringanyira Musasizi, the Minister of State for Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, has provided reassurance to the residents of Rubanda district regarding the annual parish development funds.

He made this commitment today during a gathering in Nyamweru sub-county, Rubanda East, Rubanda district.

Musasizi explained that challenges in disbursing parish development funds had arisen due to certain individuals involved in the process attempting to reduce the allocation per beneficiary. However, under the guidance of the President of Uganda, it was decided that each beneficiary would receive one million Ugandan shillings, ensuring that they receive a substantial amount rather than a lesser initial allocation.

He continued by pledging that the government would continue disbursing 100 million Ugandan shillings per parish annually. Musasizi encouraged residents to remain steadfast and assured them that, as a minister, he would ensure their well-being. He expressed his belief that the parish development model in Rubanda district would achieve success.

Furthermore, Musasizi reassured beneficiaries that they would receive their funds, even if it takes until the following year, as the disbursement process is gradual. He also commended the district team, led by Stephen Kasyaba, for their commendable work in ensuring equitable distribution of the funds to residents.
