Missing Kakumiro Girl Found Dead

Kakumiro District | THE BLACK EXAMINER | Police in Kakumiro district are investigating circumstances under which a 17-year-old girl who went missing nearly a week ago was found dead with her body being eaten by dogs.

The deceased was identified as Atugonza Kusiima a daughter to Byaruhanga Kusemererwa a resident of Mijuma LCI, Kibijo Sub County.

The deceased’s father says her daughter want missing on Thursday 26 November 2023 as she was returning from Sazike trading center and her lifeless body found in a garden in Sazike A-LCI on November 1, 2023 at around 2pm.

The Sazike A LCI Chairman Moses Balinda says that one of the residents informed him about how they had discovered a dead body of a young woman in a garden. Balinda immediately informed the security authorities.

The Kakumiro District Police Commander SP Moris Niyonzima says the deceased was allegedly waylaid by yet to be identified assailants who hit her with a blunt object and dragged her body into the garden.

He says police is hunting for the assailants. He urges the public to help police with any information about the suspects.
